The Impact Institute’s High Impact Organization designation recognizes nonprofits that have:

• Successfully completed the High Impact Organization curriculum
• Self-certified that their organization has completed the core activities proven to achieve high performance

High Impact Organization Criteria

• Organization has a strategic and/or operating plan
• Strategic and/or operating plan reviewed at least annually by the organization’s board of directors
• Board of directors reviews organization’s vision and mission statements at least annually
• Executive director’s performance reviewed annually
• Organizational budget approved annually by board of directors
• Independent financial audit performed annually and is available for public inspection
• Organization’s financials reviewed regularly by board of directors
• Organization files an IRS Form 990
