Much more than a homeless shelter, New Life Center is a pathway to sobriety, stability, and life-changing transformation. They serve people on the journey from homeless and hurting to whole and healthy by meeting basic needs and transforming lives through the love of Christ. Ultimately, they aim to help those they serve move from a life of merely surviving to truly thriving.
Surpassing their goal of $1 million, New Life Center is this year’s fifth place fundraising award winner for the Large Budget category! They were able to raise awareness through increased marketing efforts, heightened brand awareness, additional press coverage, and enhanced relationship building. An added bonus, their team was one of the winners of the GHD Social Challenge! (You can see their stellar outfits for the challenge below.)
More Than a Shelter
Giving Hearts Day is crucial for bringing in the people and funds that sustain their programs and services, which is incredibly important as demand for emergency shelter and addiction recovery services grows.
New Life Center is North Dakota’s largest homeless shelter and rescue mission. They provide the basic necessities needed to survive like food, shelter, and clothing. Not to mention their services that address root causes of homelessness and help overcome barriers of moving out of homelessness, such as counseling, job training, addiction recovery, mental health treatment, and medical care. It’s all done in understanding that solving homelessness is more complex than putting a roof over someone’s head. To see transformation, they must be pointed toward hope.
