Urgent Non-Financial Needs (Critical Services Charities)

Due to the increasing demands on our local charities, we’ve compiled a list of the most urgent items needed to assure these organizations can continue to serve our communities.

  2. Volunteers to help sort food, pre-packing food bags, and to drive/ride along to pick up food from grocery stores.
  3. Technology support to setup a call/text system and intercom system to reduce in-person contact when families and individuals arrive to pick up their food.

Donations can be dropped off at the Emergency Food Pantry located at 1101 4th Ave N in Fargo, Monday to Friday, 8:00 am-4:00 pm. Please place items into the donation bin inside the door marked “Donations Here,” as donated items at this time are being isolated.

Youthworks staff are not always present at the building, due to the outreach schedule and COVID-19 related modifications in staffing. Donations can be left on the landing by the side door and staff will be able to receive them when they return. Urgently needed items may be donated at YWCA Emergency Shelter located at 3000 S. University Drive in Fargo. To limit foot traffic into the Shelter and abide by social distancing practices, a U-Haul truck is parked at the Shelter M-F, 8am-5pm with the door up and ready to accept donations that are dropped off in the back end.
